Proposed General Updates to Terms of Reference for SA4 Working Group
Proposal
It is proposed to agree to the updates to the TOR as proposed in the following and send this for approval to SA plenary in March 2026.
Proposed Updates to Terms of Reference for SA4 Sub Working Groups addressing AI data
Proposal 1: SA2 has no restriction to analyze AI traffic characteristics and study the system impacts (e.g., QoS, Session Management, traffic detection) on how to support AI traffic.
Proposal 2: For AI traffic characteristics study, SA2 may refer to the outcome of SA1 and SA4 if necessary.
Proposal: SA plenary acknowledges SA4 responsibility in identifying data types and traffic characteristics for AI/ML and that work in other groups should take SA4 work into account.

[FS_6G_MED][FS_QStream_MED][FS_Q4RTC_MED] Generic Network Interface Emulator for Media Delivery Evaluation
Proposal 1: The network emulator based on Linux tc with netem qdisc provides an appropriate baseline for media delivery protocol evaluation under realistic 3GPP network conditions.
Proposal 2: The 5QI-derived network profiles may be used as reference conditions for comparing media delivery technologies across the related study items.
Proposal 3: Additional network profiles (such as satellite, congested, and edge scenarios) complement the 5QI profiles for comprehensive evaluation coverage.
Proposal 4: Document the emulator architecture and profiles in TR 26.934 (Test platform for media delivery technologies) to ensure consistent evaluation methodology.
