### SA2 Response on AI/ML for Media

SA2 acknowledges SA4's LS and provides the following response regarding AI/ML capabilities for media handling:

#### Current Specification Status
- **Model handling in MF (Media Function)** and **enriching MF with inference capability** are:
  - Currently **not supported** by IMS specifications
  - **Not in scope** of the IMS RTC study for Rel-20

#### Request for Clarification

SA2 requires additional information from SA4 to provide a more comprehensive assessment:

**Question to SA4:** What new functionalities are expected to be supported by:
- **UE**
- **IMS entities** (e.g., MF, DC AS - Data Channel Application Server)

**Baseline for comparison:** TS 23.228 Annex AC

SA2 indicates that once SA4 provides clarification on the expected new functionalities, SA2 will be able to:
- Make a more accurate evaluation
